“The New Corporation: The Unfortunately Necessary Sequel” is a timely film that has had a hard time reaching the masses due to COVID, but also because Twitter censored our trailer!! As part of the #1000 Screenings movement, we’re hosting a virtual viewing of The New Corporation, which you can watch online before the live event on January 27, 2022 at 2 PM PT; 5pm ET. Get your ticket and join us as we live-tape the next episode of Joel Bakan’s Unfortunately Necessary Podcast featuring the lawyers behind the lawsuit: filmmaker, lawyer AND plaintiff Joel Bakan, our counsel, Sujit Choudhry, and announcing our special guests Fenwick McKelvey and Taylor Owen both expert witnesses in our court case against Twitter. You can read more about our guests on our blog.  This promises to be a very lively and important conversation!

About the Host

Hello Cool World formed in 2001 alongside the making of the original film, The Corporation. We’ve specialized in creating and distributing educational media-rich content alongside feature films, as well as original short-form content that support causes we believe in. We are international in scope and work primarily in the areas of social justice, health equity, and Indigenous solidarity. As part of our evolution to working on the sequel, we’re now partners in Cool World Technologies, the platform we are building to help not only our cause-related projects, but possibly yours too!

For this event, our teams have come together to bring attention to the Twitter lawsuit and to raise some funds for the costs we will (and might) incur and, as always, our impact campaign to bring grassroots distribution to life.
